Career Design
For this individual coaching session, we begin with a review of the current position. Using the job design format, we develop an understanding of the constituents, how the person's job "serves them," what their current products and services are, who receives them, what their "competitive advantage" is in performing this job, and what their critical success factors are.
Whatever issues are present in the current position, we go through the various causes, effects and potential changes that can be made.
Building on their strengths in this and past positions, we discuss dreams and desires for the future, strategize about various routes for attained the desired career, and develop implementation plans.
Follow-up sessions help with problem resolution, action plans, and adjustments in strategies.
Also, personality profiles can be used to help the person understand different aspects of themselves that contribute or detract from success in certain career paths.
